Feels Like the First Time…

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Not only is this a title of a great song by the band, Foreigner (circa 1977), it is also a terrific podcast in which Aron and Mark thoughtfully discuss both being a first time visitor and what churches should be mindful of if they have a first time visitor in their midst. It seems like a simple and common enough occurrence, but somehow there are strange and awkward misconceptions on both sides of the experience…

Mind on My Money and Money On My Mind…

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Have we entered a market-friendly attitude at church? Where is the line between raising money for ministries and creating a marketplace in our churches lobby, fellowship hall or narthex? A PopeCast Wedding

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Ok - there’s not actually a “PopeCast Wedding”. Aron and Mark and both happily married to their respective spouses. However, Mark, having experience with many weddings as a church staff member and Aron, who has been a “lay person” involved with his friend’s weddings, they have quite a few opinions about weddings. This podcast doesn’t really talk so much about marriage (although how can you avoid the topic completely?) But, the traditions and pomp and circumstance around the wedding ceremony itself is discussed.
